Kat Dennings fights her demons in this inspiring true story
The first official trailer has been released for biopic drama To Write Love on Her Arms.
Emmy-winning actress Kat Dennings (Two Broke Girls, 2011-) stars as Renee Yohe; a young girl from Flordia who, whilst battling addiction, bipolar and abuse, finds redemption through music and friendship.
Yohe’s story inspired a cultural movement in the non-profit charity ‘To Write Love on Her Arms (TWLOHA)’ which helps those dealing with depression, disorders, self-harm, addiction and suicide. The organization was founded in 2006 after a blog was posted by founder Jamie Tworkowski who heard of Yohe’s struggles. TWLOHA has helped support thousands over the years and is explored in this inspiring true story.
To Write Love on Her Arms is directed by Nathan Frankowski (No Saints For Sinners, 2011) and co-stars British actor Rupert Friend (The Young Victoria, 2009), Chad Michael Murray (House of Wax, 2005) and Corbin Bleu (High School Musical, 2006).
To Write Love on Her Arms will be released in cinemas March, 2015.
